WHAT IS PayByPhone?
It's an app that lets you pay for parking without hassle: no coins, no lines, and simply no fuss! There are 3 ways to pay for parking: through the app, online, or by calling.
If you live in San Francisco or if you're planning to visit us, you need to download this app ASAP. I love this app so much I've dedicated a blog post to it. I get easily stressed out when it comes to parking in SF. The parking regulations/signs may sometimes be confusing. Thank goodness for PayByPhone! The app is pretty smart, it usually notifies you if you can or can't park at certain times or places. You still have to double check with signs to make sure it's accurate. This app has saved me so many times. I don't even wanna show you my activity log because it's nuts! I wish this app was available everywhere (it's also available in Vancouver and a few more places)! It's by far the most convenient app to pay for parking! OBSESSED!

PAY THROUGH APP
1. Download the PayByPhone app
Download the app now from the Blackberry, Google Play and iOS App Store.
2. Enter your location code
Tap in the location code you wish to park in as advertised on street signage.
3. Enter your parking duration
Add the time duration you wish to park for. Check the details then confirm your selection.
4. Extend your parking anytime
Add more time from wherever you are. Simply open the app and add time to your current parking meter.
PAY ONLINE
1. Visit the PayByPhone website
Logon using your browser or through your smartphone. Easily create a PayByPhone account and use it to pay for parking. To begin, select Account from the main menu.
2. Enter your parking requirements
Enter the LOCATION number (see on-street signage) and the DURATION you wish to park for.
3. Enter your security code
Finalise your transaction by entering the 3 digit security code on the back of your payment card.
4. Manage your account online
Visit your account page to quickly add or amend vehicle details, update your payment info or security settings.
PAY BY CALLING THEM
1. Call the number posted on signage
Dial the PayByPhone service number displayed on parking meters and signs.
2. Respond to the prompts
Existing users will be prompted to enter the 4 or 5 digit location number, and parking time required. New users will be guided through a registration process.
3. Wait for your parking to be confirmed
Once you have heard confirmation that your parking has started you may leave your vehicle. Parking details will be sent to the handheld units the Parking Enforcement Officers patrol with.
4. Extend your parking anytime
Extend your parking at any time. Simply call the number you dialed in Step 1. Your account will be recognized and you will be given the option to extend your parking session or to start a new one.
